Our Story

Schulte Family Dentistry was established in 1980 by Dr. Mark J. Schulte, DMD, initially located in the third tower of St. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital. In 1998, Dr. Carol Muth joined the practice and remains an integral part of our team to this day. In 2007, Dr. Mark Schulte's son, David, graduated from The University of Louisville Dental School and began working alongside his father and Dr. Muth.

In 2016, Dr. David Schulte took over the ownership of Schulte Family Dentistry from his father, allowing Dr. Mark Schulte to reduce his clinical practice and indulge more in his passion for golf. In December 2020, Dr. Mark Schulte transitioned to a part-time faculty role at his alma mater, The University of Louisville Dental School.

In 2017, Dr. David Schulte's wife, Megan, joined the practice to assist at the front desk. Over time, she has become a valued member of the team, serving as the Practice Administrator. Together, along with their dedicated team, Schulte Family Dentistry continues to flourish as a family-owned dental practice. It's a unique and heartwarming journey for a truly exceptional place.
